During lockdown many volunteers from different groups and organisations have worked together for the benefit of the community.
Whilst helping in Pickering Ryedale Lions President, Frank Hayward, became aware of a problem the Pickering Foodshare/Free Fridge were experiencing.
Frank said “ There was no uniform for volunteers which made if difficult for businesses to identify them when they called to collect supplies”
The issue was taken to Lions members and Ryedale Lions have provided Hi Viz jackets for use by Food Share volunteers.
Frank said “We are always happy to support community groups in practical ways”
