POLICE are investigating an act of vandalism and theft in a North Yorkshire village.
North Yorkshire Police says the signs around the woodland walk near the pond on Maltongate, in Thornton le Dale, were damaged between April 10 and 12.
A commemorative plaque was also stolen at the same time.
A spokesperson for the force said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.”
