RYEDALE Family History Group are continuing to organise their popular programme of online talks.
The next talk is on Wednesday, April 21, starting at 7.30pm and is a free event. The talk is on the subject of ‘Getting the best from newspaper websites’ by John Hanson.
John Hanson is a family history lecturer with nearly 20 years’ experience, he is a member of the Guild of One Name Studies and a former Trustee of the Society of Genealogists.
Andie Cattle, Secretary said:, “A lot of very useful information can be found in the local newspapers of the time that can shed light on the life events of our ancestors and their achievements or failures. We are looking forward to John’s talk to give us an insight into the value of the old newspapers and how to use them.
