Dog owners are beinng warned over a number of tropical fish were dumped in Malton.
The fish, which have been placed in plastic bags, were found on the crossroad of Highfield Road, Rainbow Lane, Pasture Lane and Peasey Hill
Raw fish is dangerous because it can contain bacteria that causes diseases including salmonella and listeria. Dogs are not immune to these bacteria, so it is important that they only eat properly cooked fish.
The incident has been reported to Ryedale District Council.
