JUST one area of Ryedale has seen its cases fall over the seven days leading up to December 25, according to the latest figures.

Figures from Public Health England show that only the area of Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale saw cases drop. It had five cases, down by two on the previous seven days.

Again, Malton and Norton saw the biggest rise, up 14 in the seven days up to December 25, followed by Sheriff Hutton, Slingsby and Swinton up 11.

 

It is better news for parts of Scarborough which saw cases fall in many area.

For Ryedale and surrounding area, the figures for the seven days up to December 25 are (seven–day rolling rate in brackets):

Malton and Norton - 30 cases, up 14 (207.1)

Rillington and Sherburn - 13 cases, up 4 (186.5)

Sheriff Hutton, Slingsby and Swinton - 21 cases, up 11 (215.3)
