THERE have been two further deaths related to Covid-19 recorded at hospitals in the York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The data from NHS England shows that the total number of deaths related to the virus in the York trust is now 311. The trust includes York Hospital and Scarborough.

Meanwhile, figures from Public Health England shows Ryedale has had six new cases, taking its total to 750, and 35 in Scarborough, taking its total to 2,995.

The figures below show (in this order) - the district, number of cases in the past seven day, seven day rate per 100,000 population and total number of cases since the start of the pandemic.

Ryedale - 53, 95.7, 750

City of York - 144, 68.4, 5,710

North Yorkshire - 651, 105.3, 13,693

East Riding of Yorkshire - 590, 172.9, 10,116

Nationally, there were 16,298 new cases. All of these figures include both pillar 1 and pillar 2 cases. There were 504 deaths (those within 28 days of positive test) taking the total to 60,617.
