Electrical fault sparks vehicle fire
AN electrical fault sparked a fire early this morning
Fire crews from Scarborough were called to reports of a fire in the engine compartment of a Ford Escort at Seamer Road, Scarborough, just after 1.54am.
A spokesperson from North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) said: "Scarborough crew attended a small electrical fire in the engine compartment of a Ford Escort.
“The fire was out on arrival and crews cooled the engine using one hose reel jet.”
