FIREFIGHTERS were called out after a woman impaled herself whilst decorating.
North Yorkshire and Fire Rescue Service (NYFRS) say they were called out to a commercial property off Gladstone Road in Scarborough around 6.40pm.
“A crew from Scarborough has rescued a female after she had fallen whilst decorating and become impaled on some aluminium piping,” said a spokesperson.
“Crew assisted Ambulance service to transfer casualty and length of pipe into ambulance.”
