A MAN had to be rescued from a stream last night.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service (NYFRS) responded to the incident in Easingwold at 12.39am.
"Crews from Easingwold and Helmsley responded to a report of a male who had fallen into a stream," said a spokesperson from NYFRS.
"On arrival crews found that the male had fallen through a hedge into the stream having exited his car.
"Crews used a reciprocating saw to cut away the hedge in order to rescue the male.
"The crew cared for the male awaiting the arrival of ambulance crews."
