A WOMAN who died six weeks after being involved in a crash has been named by police.
21-year-old Georgia Porter was travelling along the A165, near Filey, on August 29, when she was involved in a serious collision.
It happened at about 4.35pm at the junction with the A1039 King Hill, near Muston, and involved a blue Volkswagen Beetle and Georgia’s dark-coloured Sym Chacha moped.
Georgia was airlifted to hospital but sadly died on October 12. The woman driver of the Beetle was uninjured.
North Yorkshire Police have issued a new appeal for anyone who saw either of the two vehicles prior to the collision, or who witnessed the incident.
