DERWENT Training Association has welcomed a group of young people starting engineering apprenticeships.
The Malton-based training provider works in partnership with employers across Ryedale, York and the Yorkshire coast to train the next generation of engineers.
Claire Gavaghan, chief executive officer, said:
“The region and country must keep investing in skills and Derwent Training, together with local employers, will ensure these young people get the very best education and training to help them in their new careers.”
The government has introduced incentive payments for hiring a new apprentice to help organisations offer new apprenticeships.
