DETAILS have been released showing the areas that have had confirmed cases of coronavirus recently in the Ryedale and Scarborough area.

The map shows the 'Middle Super Output Areas' (MSOAs) where there were positive cases between October 3 and 9.

PHE says MSOAs are small areas with around 7,200 average population and the data is updated each weekday, and shows the latest seven days for which near-complete data are available.

According to the map, in the Ryedale and surrounding area, from October 3 to 9, there were:

  • 11 in Malton and Norton
  • 4 in Rillington and Sherburn
  • 15 in Sheriff Hutton, Slingsby and Swinton
  • 7 in Helmsley and Ampleforth
  • 5 in Kirkbymoorside and Moors
  • 7 in Pickering and Thornton-le-Dale
  • 3 in Ayton & Snainton
  • 3 in Burniston, Sleights & Fylingdales
  • 4 in Newby & Scalby
  • 7 in Scarborough Town & North Bay
  • 4 in Barrowcliff & Northstead
  • 8 in Scarborough Central
  • 10 in Falsgrave
  • 13 in Ramshill & South Cliff
  • 4 in Wheatcroft & Cayton
  • 0-2 in Eastfield, Crossgates & Seamer
  • 11 in Filey & Hummanby
  • 22 in Stamford Bridge & Sutton Upon Derwent
  • 49 in Pocklington
