Florios Ristorante Scarborough has closed after a custmer tested positive for coronavicrus.

The restaurant, in Aberdeen Walk, said all staff would undergo tests and a deep clean of the premises will take place.

In a statement they said: "We have been informed by a customer that they have tested positive for Covid-19. For the safety of our customers, staff and wider community, we feel we have no choice but to close the restaurant with immediate effect. We are currently contacting all customers who were in the restaurant at the same time as this customer. All of our staff will undergo Covid-19 tests and we are organising a deep clean of the restaurant. We hope to open the restaurant again as soon as we can.

"A number of customers are asking for further details regarding the customer who has tested positive. We are in the process of contacting all customers who were in the restaurant at the same time. However, in order to ease concerns we can advise that the customer was in the restaurant last Sunday 13th September during the hours of 7pm-8.30pm. If you were in the restaurant at this time please be patient while we contact everyone. Thank you."
