CLINICAL leaders are encouraging children and young people who are returning to the classroom not to suffer in silence if they feel anxious and overwhelmed.
The Go-To mental health support website, developed by NHS North Yorkshire Clinical Commissioning Group, has a range of information.
It is about six months since school and colleges sent home the majority of pupils at the start of a nationwide lockdown, imposed to halt the coronavirus pandemic.
“While some young people may be looking forward to getting back to school life, for others, this could trigger a range of emotions and anxieties,” said Dr Peter Billingsley, clinical lead for vulnerable people.
