Insects blamed for smoke alarm call-out
INSECTS have been blamed for a fire call-out earlier today.
A crew from Malton responded to a smoke alarm going off in a residential property in Old Malton Road in Malton, just before 4.45am.
When they arrived it was a false alarm, and believe it was due to insects in the detector.
