A DOMESTIC abuse charity has launched a 300-mile virtual tour to raise money during lockdown.

Independent Domestic Abuse Services (IDAS) is organising the Big Yorkshire Tour, encouraging participants to cover the distance at home, in the garden or during daily exercise.

People can walk, run, skateboard, cycle, roller-skate or even kayak the 300-mile distance.

“The lockdown has been difficult for many people, for those living with a controlling or abusive partner there will have been little to no respite,” said Sarah Hill, IDAS CEO.

“We are asking the public to support us by taking part in the tour and help raise awareness.”
