HERE’S this week’s batch of photographs from readers.

Yet again animals and bird feature strongly, including the one above of 13-year-old Lurcher Wisp who has sniffed out lost tennis balls all her life.

Jessica Sleightholme said: “We rescued her at a year old and every summer she has found the missing tennis balls and the odd cricket ball on her walk past the playing field in Nawton ever since.

“In her past youth she would destroy the ball as soon as she got home. But now she just likes to carry them home and keep them.

“Over the years she must have found hundreds. She has the nose for them and gets very dissapointed if she doesn’t find one.”
