The children watched the band perform many well-known songs and also had the opportunity to widen their knowledge of brass instruments and have a go.

Head teacher Sarah Moore said: “As a school we pride ourselves in offering a range of creative, curriculum-linked opportunities for our children.

“Our whole school curriculum has been carefully developed to allow children to try many opportunities that widen their experiences and choices in the future.”

“We have recently designed a new curriculum that includes many enrichment activities for our pupils.

“Since September, the pupils have had ukulele lessons, watched the pop-up pantomime, taken part in an engaging workshop led by author Stuart Reid, received skateboard and scooter workshops and visited the Van Gogh exhibition in York.

“We have has regular dance lessons and incorporated daily 30 minute sporting activities into our curriculum to promote the importance of physical exercise.”
