A GROUP has been set up to help provide scrubs and face shields for key workers.
Henny Clark, who lives in Broughton, came up with the idea after a friend asked if she could make a fabric head band to attach to her mask as after a 13-hour shift it was making her ears sore.
“I asked if there was anything else she needed and she said it’s a big ask but we need scrubs. I figured the best way was to set up a Facebook group to put together people who can sew with people who have fabric and/or other skills.”
The group is also being helped by Craig Shepherdson and Kevin Jacques who are making visors. To make a donation, go to crowdfunder.co.uk/material-for-scrubs. More information is available at Ryedale Scrubs for the Community on Facebook.
