PEOPLE are being encouraged to sign up for free suicide prevention training workshops in Scarborough.
Part of the #TalkSuicide campaign, the Humber, Coast and Vale Health and Care Partnership is hosting two workshops on Monday, March 9, at the YMCA Building.
There were 6,507 registered suicides in the UK in 2018, with Yorkshire and Humber having some of the highest rates in England.
“The suicide prevention training is integral, people can make a real difference in their communities,” said Jo Kent.
The one-hour workshop will take place at either 9.30am or 11am.
