A UKULELE sing-along has raised more than £4,500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The Thornton-le-Dale Ukuleles hosted a fundraising concert at the Kirk Theatre, in Pickering, with a selection of songs and performances throughout the evening.
The Christmas sing-along was dedicated to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity which supports people with cancer by providing physical, financial and emotional support.
Since starting in 2013, the ukulele group has raised more than £52,000 with sing-alongs and concerts for charities such as Parkinson’s UK and Cancer Research. The group is the brainchild of John Scoble, who gives his time to provide tuition, music and leadership.
The Thornton-le-Dale Ukuleles have a wide range of ages and abilities within the group, with approximately 60 players.
