A BODY was pulled from a river in North Yorkshire at the weekend.
Fire Station Manager Bob Hoskins tweeted that crews from Stokesley and Whitby recovered a body from the River Leven in Great Ayton on Saturday morning.
He also issued a warning about the dangers of water at this time of year.
"Take care near water at this time of year," he added. "Temperatures are very low and even shallow water can be dangerous."
