VISITORS to Rievaulx Abbey are being offered the chance to sing carols alongside the Bilsdale Silver Band.

The attraction near Helmsley will be getting into the Christmas spirit on Sunday, December 8, from 1pm to 3pm.

Visitors can grab a song sheet and sing-along to their favourite traditional tunes in the abbey church, alongside the brass band.

The Rievaulx Abbey gift shop is open all day to browse and taste traditional mead.

Tickets are £10.40 for adults, £6.20 for children and £27 for the family.
