BUDDY Holly and The Cricketers get the Yuletide festivities off to a rocking start with ‘Holly at Christmas’ at the Milton Rooms in Malton on Thursday, December 5.
Holly’s hits, other contemporary classics and some Christmas crackers feature in a fast, furious and funny feast of entertainment to make a perfect evening out for all the family.
The songs include That’ll Be The Day, Peggy Sue, Heartbeat, It Doesn’t Matter Any More, Raining In My Heart, Oh Boy! and many more. It is the 60th anniversary of Buddy’s death this year and although he lived a short life, he left a great musical legacy.
Buddy Holly and The Cricketers is a dynamic show featuring authentic arrangements and energetic performances that have crowds dancing in the aisles. It stars some of the finest actor-musicians in the UK, including Jason Shaw as Buddy.
Producer Simon Fielder, of Simon Fielder Productions, a former actor in the original touring and West End show, said: “Buddy Holly was pivotal in my development as a guitarist and songwriter. Buddy’s music has touched the heart of millions around the world and influenced many famous artists such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Brian May and many others.”
Doors open at 7.15pm. Tickets are £20 from www.ticketsource.co.uk/themiltonrooms
