A NEW health and well-being shop has opened in Helmsley.

Health Matters in Barker's Yard is an environmentally-friendly shop, which specialises in organic food without plastic packaging, health foods, supplements, CBD oil and balms.

Founder Juliette Langton-White has a background in health and well-being, including acupuncture and Chinese medicine, and recently received a diploma in core medicine.

Juliette said: “I have come to realise that trying to change the world can become a reality by small, individual steps.

“By giving our communities the information, choice and knowledge, people can not only improve their personal and family’s health, but also the health of their environment.

“More people want to recycle, it a popular concept which should be encouraged and celebrated.”

Alongside selling health and well-being products, Health Matters has an environmentally-friendly ethos, with zero plastic packaging.

All the products are vegan-friendly, not animal-tested and 100 per cent organic with no harm to nature.

Popular items include refillable household products, hand soap, shampoo and conditioner with the bottles created from biodegradable ingredients, biopolymer and sugar cane.

Juliette added: “The shop’s location within Barker’s Yard reflects the shop’s ethos by having a community spirit and knowing our customers wants and needs.

“Everyone in Baker’s Yard,

owners and staff, have been so welcoming which reiterates the point of community.

“I have worked within health for many years, but now I can reflect my passion by waking up each morning and doing something I love which is a real treat.

“My hobby has turned into a reality and we are excited for the future.”

Health Matters is open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 4pm, in Barkers Yard, Helmsley.
