WARTIME Weekend is coming to the Milton Rooms in Malton with two evenings of vintage music and dance.
The fun begins with a 1940s Dance Evening courtesy of York Vintage Dance Group on Friday, October 11, from 7pm to 11.30pm.
Music comes from The Alka Seltzer Sisters, the Rhythm Exchange Band and Vintage Record Hop. This is a chance to dance or simply enjoy listening to a wide variety of music from the 1940s and beyond.
The following evening will see Hep to the Jive return to Malton for a wartime dance from 7pm to 11.30pm. This popular band’s music library includes the greatest hits of all the major swing bands and famous crooners, past and present, with dance programmes that include all the ballroom dances as well as several sequence dances.
