CHILDREN at a village pre-school can enjoy a new outdoor activity thanks to a donation from a supermarket.
Rillington Pre-school, which is also a registered charity, has received a new sand pit from Morrisons in Malton.
Heather Drabble, the pre-school manager, said: “We are thrilled with the sand pit; it is great to be outside on these warm autumnal days. Sand is good for developing creativity and children enjoy sensory play, so they will get a lot of enjoyment from the donation.”
Rillington Pre-school, established in 1973 at Rillington Village Hall, accepts children aged from two from the surrounding area.
Heather added: “We believe every child deserves the best possible start in life with a well structured learning environment.”
It still has availability for term time, priced from £11.50 for a three-hour session.
