A NEW course looking at award-winning films is being held at Helmsley Art Centre.
Film Studies: Award Winning Films Revisited is a new seven-week Workers Education Association (WEA) course providing the chance to explore a selection of cinematic award-winners, and a few runners-up from across the decades.
The course will analyse how some films get the gongs and why others are snubbed, asking students for their own thoughts and opinions.
The seven-week course starts on Tuesday, September 24, and takes place every Tuesday, from 6pm to 8pm, at Helmsley Arts Centre.
WEA co-ordinator Stephen Blockley said: “Many students will be able to attend this course for free and there is always a great mix of attendees.”
