A RYEDALE man has scooped £1,500 on the Saint Catherine’s lottery – just a few weeks after he signed up.
David Senior, a warehouse manager, of Pickering, said he was “shocked and delighted” to win.
He decided to take part as his wife’s grandad was cared for at the hospice.
David said: “We’ve never had family in the hospice before and we were really happy with the care.”
He added that this is the biggest win he has ever had on anything and that it will go towards a family holiday to Spain – his daughter’s first holiday abroad.
The Saint Catherine’s lottery costs £2 a week with a chance to win weekly cash prizes of £1,500, £200, £50, £25 and £10 – with an amazing rollover of up to £20,000.
