MALTON School’s Year 11 enjoyed a memorable evening at their prom.
After several years’ absence, the event returned to its original venue - the West Wing Hall at the school.
It had been decorated with bunting and fairy lights, and the tables were festooned with balloons. A hot and cold buffet, arranged by members of staff, including the head of Key Stage Four Mrs Johnson, Miss Coulbeck and Miss Spink, also included a chocolate fountain.
Arriving at school in an array of high-end and vintage vehicles, the students were dressed to impress.
Students were greeted with the red carpet, a canopy to keep off the rain and an array of amateur photographers, as well as the prom’s official photographer from Studio 8.
After having their photographs taken, students partied the night away until 11pm.
They also crowned the Prom King and Queen who were given sashes and, of course, crowns to wear.
Mrs Johnson said: “It was lovely
to see all the students arriving in their finery to celebrate the end of their GCSEs – and we had a great night.
“I am really looking forward to sharing in their successes on results day on August 22, and wish them all the very best for their future.”
The school would like to thank the following companies for their support of the evening: Card Factory, Fun for Hire, and Studio 8.
