A NEW community park will be officially opened in Pickering on Sunday.
Town mayor Cllr Helene Haythorne will cut the ribbon at 11am to open the park off Whitby Road, which has been handed over to the council from David Wilson Homes.
Attractions will include a 60ft inflatable assault course, two bouncy castles, a light chaser game, refreshments and a fun dog show. Any money raised will be donated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance, which will hopefully be attending.
There will be also be a suggestion box for residents to put forward ideas of what they would like to see at the park and an opportunity to chat to councillors.
