FOUR friends have raised more than £5,000 for Ryedale Special Families (RSF).

Fiona McBeath, Yvonne Slack, Jacquie Silk and Zoe Bent tackled the Yorkshire Three Peaks, covering 25 miles in 11.5 hours.

Fiona, whose sister’s family is supported by RSF, said: “It is called a challenge for a reason and we were certainly put to the test in dreadful weather, from extreme wind to ice and snow. We dug deep knowing we were doing it for an incredible charity.”

Fiona added: “We exceeded our target, raising a total of £5,160 and could never have raised such an amount were it not for the generosity of everyone that supported us. On behalf of the charity and ourselves we are truly grateful. Thank you so much, we are lucky to have so many great family and friends.”
