THE EAST Riding of Yorkshire YFC has been awarded the RABI YFC Cup in recognition of their support of the farming charity.
Sally Conner collected the prize on their behalf from NFU vice-president Stuart Roberts in front of more than 230 guests at RABI’s AGM. The cup is awarded to the YFC club which has given the most support to RABI.
Joshua Hosier, RABI deputy chairman, said: “The YFC members were absolutely invaluable. They got involved with all the set-up involved beforehand and did judging and stewarding on the day, not an easy job. They also put on a ‘Shed Do’ in the evening. In total, over £2,500 was raised and a great day was had by all.”
RABI is farming’s oldest and largest charity, providing financial support, advice and practical help to farming people of all ages. In 2018, RABI gave out grants of more than £2.2m.
