FIRE services were called to two incidents started by barbecues and campfires yesterday.
Just before 1pm, a crew from Kirkbymoorside went to Swineherd Lane in the town where a small fire had spread from a barbecue to nearby undergrowth.
And at about 7pm, the Danby fire crew went to Castleton moor and extinguished an area of approximately 10 square metres of moorland, which caught fire after a campfire was left unattended.
