THE RNLI Malton Guild fundraising group has received a donation of £1,500.
Lorna Mastaglio, the former lady captain of Malton & Norton Golf Club, presented the cheque to John Charman, RNLI Malton Guild treasurer.
The RNLI was Lorna’s chosen charity for her year of office in 2018.
Lorna said: “My grandmother had been a supporter of the RNLI in the 1950s followed by my mother as secretary of the Dore RNLI branch in Sheffield so it seemed the obvious choice as the charity to support for my year as ladies captain.”
John said: “We are very grateful to Lorna and Malton & Norton Golf Club for this substantial amount raised. Every penny of it will go to saving lives at sea.”
