THE Ryedale branch of the Royal Air Forces Association began a year of 20th anniversary celebrations with a private luncheon for Barbara Shreeve’s birthday at the Talbot Hotel in Malton.
Station Commander Wing Commander Alun Walton, RAF Fylingdales, took the opportunity to present the wives of the three remaining founder members, including Mrs Shreeve, with flowers to mark the occasion.
The party were entertained after lunch by the Malton Male Voice Choir, conducted by Viv Wilcock.
Celebrations will continue over the summer and will include a coach trip to RAF Waddington and further lunchtime celebrations at the Mallyan Spout Hotel and Malton & Norton Golf Club in July and August.
Any former members of the Ryedale branch would be most welcome to join the celebrations, phone membership secretary Allan Jones for more information on 07747 825309.
