MAYOR of Kirkbymoorside Angus Ashworth was one of the antiques experts on last week’s BBC series Antiques Road Trip.
Mr Ashworth, who runs Ryedale Auctioneer’s in Kirkbymoorside, paired up with TV host and auctioneer David Harper on the show.
The format of the show, which first aired in 2010, sees two antiques experts competing against each other. They get a budget with which to buy antiques and collectibles which are then sold at auction. The winner is the expert who makes the greater profit over five legs.
Mr Ashworth’s run saw the duo visit Dundee, Ayrshire, Lancashire and Yorkshire before ending up in Northumberland.
The series can be watched on BBC iPlayer for another three weeks.
