MALTON and Norton Musical Theatre (MNMT) take to the stage this week in their annual pantomime Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.

Directed by Mark Boler and Rory Queen, the society promises another exciting family pantomime at the Milton Rooms in Malton from Friday, January 18 to Saturday, January 26.

Rory is once again to cause mayhem as Dame Edna with his sidekick Chuckles, played by Rebecca Heslop.

In the title role of Snow White, the society welcomes back Abigail Rennison, and making their debuts with the society are Millie Kemp as Prince Ferdinand and as Queen Avarice, Katherine Woodford join the cast. Micky Moran has his work cut out performing two roles as Slurp and Merlin the Magic Mirror.

Thomas Jennings returns this time as bumbling Court Magistrate Quill, supported by Jess Schofield and Kyle Cass, sharing the role of his scribe Scribbles. Finally, this year the society has cast Claire Smith and Jaqueline Routledge as a Fairy double act. There is also a supporting cast of chorus and dancers with choreography by Rebecca Neacsu and musical direction by Chris Hocking.

Director Mark Boler said: “MNMT has over the last 68 years produced pantomimes for the community of Malton and Norton.

“However, maintaining the high very standards of their productions gets harder every year, so the sale of tickets is so important to ensure they can fund the ever increasing production costs, which exceeded £20,000 last year. So please come and support this longstanding community event.”

Tickets are available from yourboxoffice.co.uk and Chapter Two Bar, Market Place, in Malton.
