Police are investigating an assault involving two girls in Malton
POLICE are investigating an assault involving two girls in Malton yesterday.
The girls were approached by a man, who was reportedly drunk, at 4.40pm near the traffic lights at the junction with Showfield Lane and Newbiggin, who grabbed one of the girls by her wrist. She managed to get away and run for help.
A police spokesperson, said: "Officers did an area search and could not find the male and have recorded the incident as an assault.
"The police, school and the local council are all working closely to identify this male."
