WEAPONS and a suspicious package have been found at a property on the Yorkshire coast.
Humberside Police said a cordon has been put in place around the property in West Street, Bridlington, and buildings had been evacuated following a call from workers at the site.
A spokesman said: "We were called by contractors working on an empty building who reported that they had found a number of weapons in the property as well as a suspicious package.
"The Explosive Ordnance Disposal team (EOD) are in attendance as well as emergency services. We have placed a cordon around the premises as a safety precaution which will remain in place until further notice. Some premises have been evacuated as requested by EOD to allow them to assess and safely dispose of the package."
