STAFF at Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors, which has offices in Ryedale, has raised £1,840.86 as part of its “Community Focus”.

The money was raised over the last 12 months and went to York Mind, the Wildlife Orphanage and Encephalitis Society.

Duncan Morter, the solicitors’ managing director, said: “As a firm, we agree one charity per office for 12 months to focus our fundraising efforts on. Our total funds raised this time have been achieved through many fantastic bake sales, raffles, sports-themed events such as cycling stages of the Tour de France on exercise bikes at our offices and playing games such as guessing the number of football chocolates in a jar when the World Cup was on.”

Duncan added: “We are delighted to announce the four charities we will be raising funds and awareness for over the next year are Pickering office - Scarborough Whitby Ryedale MIND, York office - Smiley Riley, Malton office - Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Selby office - Young Minds.

“Keep an eye out for the fundraising activities we will be doing over the next year, it will be great to have as much support along the way as we can get.”
