STAFF at the Derwent Surgery in Norton are encouraging people to have the flu jab.
Karen Wasikowski, practice nurse lead at the surgery, said: “The flu season is fast approaching and this year in particular has seen some changes to the flu programme with the introduction of a new vaccine.
“Derwent Surgery is offering a number of clinics and is encouraging people to help keep the flu at bay.”
The vaccine is free to people working in health care services, anyone aged 65 and over or with an existing medical condition, people in long stay care homes and pregnant women.
