WELLBEING warriors at Malton Primary School have been raising awareness of mental health.
The pupils completed a number of sponsored activities during their Wellbeing Week to raise funds for Next Steps in Norton.
Assistant head teacher Sarah Wright said: "We have chosen to donate half the money we raised to Next Steps as they do such good work in our local community. The other half of the money is being used for school wellbeing resources. We would like to thank everyone who sponsored the children and helped to make this event a huge success."
Next Steps service manager Leisa Burniston said: "Receiving such an amazing gift from the children of Malton Primary School with their family and friends supporting Next Steps is very humbling.
"I'm over the moon that schools are talking and learning about mental health and wellbeing. Hopefully this can pave the way for other schools to encourage open talking and understanding."
