POLICE were called to a series of crashes in North Yorkshire overnight on Friday.
North Yorkshire Police shared dramatic images of two of the incidents on social media, which showed vehicles which had flipped in the road.
The first crash took place close to Hovingham, and a blood sample was taken from the female driver for further tests.
The second took place in Stepney Road, Scarborough, and a police spokesman said the female driver was arrested after failing a roadside breath test.
The spokesman said she was later released under investigation, "to allow her to seek hospital treatment".
