A PROJECT to mark the centenary of the end of the First World War is starting to take shape. St Peter’s Church in Norton is organising a poppy display made by the local community to mark the event and remember those who gave their lives.
Reverend Rachel Hirst, said: “Thank you to everyone who has been making poppies for us. We now need to start collecting them in and would welcome help from people to attaching them to the netting for the display.”
The church will be open on September 20, 27, October 4 and 11, 2-4pm and September 29 and October 6, 10am to 12noon. Alternatively they can be dropped off at the
Vicarage, 80 Langton Road, Norton.
