TWO people were injured in a crash on the A64 this morning which closed the road in both directions.
North Yorkshire Police said it was called to the collision involving two cars near Sand Hutton at 8.20am.
One car was left on its roof with a man trapped inside.
Fire services said they helped extricate a man in his early 20s from his overturned Honda. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle, a Volkswagen, was not trapped and also suffered minor injuries only.

The road was closed near the Sand Hutton turn off but reopened at 9.30am.
The crash caused huge tailbacks in both directions.
