RYEDALE Walking Group has organised two walks next month.
On Saturday, September 1, the group will set off from Reasty Bank car park, grid ref SE964944, at 10am. The 8.5 mile walk of Broxa Forest, River Derwent and Whisper Dales, includes, with one steep difficult descent.
The second walk takes place on Saturday, September 8, and is part three of the Esk Valley Walk – Lion Inn to Castleton via Westerdale.
It is nine miles and walkers should park at the Downe Arms, Castleton, grid ref NZ687080, for the M1 Moors Bus at 10.10am to Lion Inn, Blakey Ridge, to start at 10.20am at the Lion Inn, Blakey, grid ref SE679997.
