POLICE are investigating the unexplained death of a man whose body was found in a North Yorkshire ditch.
Officers are appealing for information to help determine the identity of the man, whose body was discovered at 2.45pm yesterday in a ditch next to a field near Mill Field Farm, Hull Road, Osgodby, near Selby.
North Yorkshire Police said the man had two distinctive tattoos - one on his lower right arm, which was a Yorkshire rose with pink and green, with the name Andrew in a banner at the top and Kelly in a banner at the bottom at the bottom.
The other tattoo was on his upper right arm which was two red hearts and two flowers with the names Sarah, Beccy and Sammy in a banner which wrapped around the hearts and flowers.
A force spokeswoman said a man of a similar description was seen on the same farmland at about 7am on July 13.
Anyone who thinks they might have seen the man or know his identity is being asked to phone101, press 1 and pass information onto the Force Control Room, quoting ref no 12180139017.
