GREGGS and Starbucks could soon be moving into Foss Islands retail park.
A planning application lodged with City of York Council shows the two chains are eyeing the empty former Frankie and Benny's on the retail park, and want permission to put their signage on the building.
Frankie and Benny's on Foss Islands closed in 2016 and the building has stood empty ever since.
Although owners The Restaurant Group put it on the market early the following year, a planning application then emerged showing the same company wanted to subdivide it into two units which could either be used as restaurants or shops.
This latest application shows Starbucks and Greggs signage side-by-side on the building with entrances to the north, facing Morrisons.
