THREE men were arrested after a 17-year-old girl was found collapsed in a North Yorkshire market town, police revealed on Friday.

North Yorkshire Police said the teenager, found in the cobbled square outside The George Hotel in Easingwold in the early hours of last Saturday morning, remained in a critical condition in hospital.

A spokeswoman said  two 17-year-old men and a 20-year old man had been arrested on suspicion of supplying drugs.

"One of the 17-year-old men has been released without charge," she said. 

"The other two remain on police bail while investigations continue."

The force has appealed for the public's help in investigating the incident, to help officers determine the full circumstances."
